This device is equipped with a CMOS imaging sensor and NFC functionality, allowing it to function as a barcode scanner. It is capable of achieving a resolution of 1280*800 pixels even under well-lit conditions. Additionally, it incorporates a built-in white LED light for illumination and offers a field of view angle of 58° horizontally (left and right) and 51° vertically (up and down). To provide user instructions, a buzzer has been integrated into the scanner. For connectivity with external devices, the scanner supports USB, RS232, and TTL interfaces.

The RCQ-728 code scanner offers TTL232 and USB interfaces (CDC). It is capable of scanning both 2D codes such as PDF417, QR Code, and DataMatrix, as well as 1D codes including Code 128, EAN-13, EAN-8, Code 39, UPC-A, UPC-E, Codabar, Interleaved 2 of 5, ITF-6, ITF-14, ISBN, Code 93, and more. The scanner boasts a remarkable reading accuracy of up to 5 miles.
During operation, the scanner provides the flexibility to rotate the image at any desired angle, and it can accurately recognize the scanned image even when it is tilted or deflected by up to ±50°.
Application Enviroment
The scanner has different scanning ranges for various types of codes:
- For EAN codes (1D codes), the scanner can read codes within a range of 10mm to 130mm (13mil).
- When it comes to QR codes (2D codes), the scanner can read codes within a range of 0mm to 95mm (15mil).
- Data Matrix codes can be read by the scanner within a range of 0mm to 60mm (20mil).
- When scanning PDF417 codes (2D codes), the scanner can read codes within a range of 0mm to 50mm (6.67mil).
- Specifically for WeChat QR codes, the scanner is capable of reading them within a range of 10mm to 260mm (32mil).

The RCQ-728 scanner includes an NFC reader that supports various standards such as ISO 14443A, ISO 15693, M1, Mifare Classic, Mifare Plus, Mifare Desfire, and 15693 cards. The NFC card reader is capable of reading cards within a proximity of 5cm around the scanner. It is compatible with multiple operating systems including Windows, Linux, and Raspberry Pi. To connect the NFC card reader to an external device, it offers USB, RS232, and TTL interfaces as connectivity options.
